The Refrigeration Engineer is an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ships. As the Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing and executing the required maintenance and operation of the HVAC and refrigeration systems under the direction of the Chief Refrigeration Engineer. This particular position is a floating par to allow exposure aboard vessel classes without a 1st Refrigeration Engineer par on board.



Career snapshot:

* Coordinates, operates, repairs and maintains all the functions of all air conditioning, dampers, laundry lint/wax filters, hood systems, ventilation equipment, refrigerated catering equipment, and refrigerated mini-bars

* Assists the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in the operation and maintenance of chiller units, air handlers, controllers, and working temperatures throughout the vessel

* Provides training of division personnel in safety procedures and assigned duties

* Assists the Chief Refrigeration Engineer with setting the divisional budget proposals and following targets (Depending on the projects, the relative vessel budgets run from $1 to $ 5 million)
