Job Description:

Join our team as a Banquets Cook I, Cook II, or Cook III at Pier Sixty-Six Resort, where you'll be an integral member of our culinary team creating authentic experiences for our guests.

Reporting to the Sous Chef, you'll support and provide excellent service in our high-volume culinary department, requiring a passion for culinary arts and a service-oriented attitude.

• Develop positive working relationships with your team and support common goals.
• Prepare special meals and substitute items.
• Regulate oven temperatures and monitor food quality.
• Pull food from freezer storage for thawing.
• Ensure proper portion sizes, arrangement, and food garnish.
• Maintain food logs and monitor food quantity.
• Communicate assistance needs during busy periods.
• Inform the Chef of excess food items for daily specials.
• Inform Food & Beverage staff of menu specials and out of stock items.
• Ensure the quality of food items.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards.
  
  
  • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and motivating employees.
  • Follow company and safety policies; report maintenance needs and accidents.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
  • Speak clearly and professionally with others.
  • Develop positive working relationships with others.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
