Job Description:
Pier Sixty-Six Resort is seeking a highly skilled and
experienced Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. As a key member
of our team, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional
dining experiences for our guests.Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues to
achieve common goals.
- Prepare special meals and substitute items as needed.
- Monitor and regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster
temperatures.
- Retrieve food from freezer storage for thawing in the
refrigerator.
- Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and food garnish.
- Maintain accurate food logs and monitor food quality and
quantity.
- Communicate assistance needs during busy periods.
- Inform the Chef of excess food items for daily specials.
- Notify Food & Beverage staff of menu specials and out-of-stock
items.
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet standards.Additional
Duties:
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist management in hiring, training, and evaluating
employees.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and security
protocols.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and
professional.
- Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
